This nationally recognised course describes the skills and knowledge required to use specialised equipment in the provision of resuscitation in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines. This unit applies to workers who may be required to use specialised equipment to provide resuscitation in a range of complex situations, include community and workplace settings. There are legislated requirements in each state in relation to this training. These requirements will be documented in each states approved code of practice for first aid.

HLTAID001 Provide CPR

Description:
This unit deals with the skills and knowledge required to use specialised equipment in the provision of resuscitation in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines and applies to workers who may be required to use specialised equipment to provide resuscitation.

  • Perform advanced resuscitation

  • Evaluation of the incident

HLTAID007 Provide advanced resuscitation

Assessment:
Assessment is conducted by using a range of scenarios and orally / written questions.

Delivery Method:
Delivery of training is done face to face and may be done on a customer’s site or in a Blackwoods Training centre.
